Community Emergency Response Team training run by Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA). A multi-week course combines classroom work with hands-on practice so residents can help family and neighbors before responders arrive.
CRESA is Clark County’s emergency management and 911 agency. Its CERT program trains everyday people to take care of themselves, support their families and help neighbors during disasters such as earthquakes, storms and wildfires, when emergency services may be delayed or overwhelmed.
In Clark County the course runs over several weeks and combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice. See CRESA’s page for current class dates.
Volunteers serve through the program, not on their own: register as an emergency worker through the sponsoring agency before you help in an emergency.
Before you rely on any group: contact them, join a practice net or drill, and keep calling 911 first whenever you can.
